I'd like to emphasize this: If you like my stuff, comment. Please don't favorite it unless you've already commented. I literally say this in the description of each drawing, so everyone looking at my drawings should know this. If you fave without commenting, I won't be grateful, I'll just think you're favoriting it for the sole reason of making me want to look at your page, and I'll just consider you rude.
It doesn't have to be a long essay. Just "Good" or "I like it" is all I'm asking for. And you're welcome to favorite something after commenting.

*Note: if you're the sort of person that has commented on a number of my drawings before, this doesn't apply to you, since I'll know who you are and that you've commented on my stuff several times before. If you've done that, feel free to favorite whatever you like, I'll just think you're a fan. :P

Sorry if this sounds harsh, but I'm getting pretty annoyed that people keep doing this. If I had a choice I'd disable the favorite option altogether.

Well...
I favorite things because I like things! Then they're in my favorites and I can go through them and look at them whenever I want. That makes me happy! Look at all that art I like! That's why most people favorite things. It's one of their favorite pieces of arts!
The way I treat favorites is the same way I treat comments like "Cool" or "Nice." Hey look, they like my drawing enough to call it a favorite! That's cool!

I don't comment on things very often. It's not because I don't like it, it's because I don't have anything to say! Getting a lot of comments that just say "Good job" is nice and all, but they're not meaningful at all-- Especially because faving the artwork means the same thing! In fact, a lot of artists would much rather a favorite over a generic comment.

Faving things doesn't mean "Hey, look at my page!" It means "Hey, I like this! I want this in my favorites!" Plus, a lot of people don't actually go and read descriptions before faving a deviation, so they wouldn't know that you don't like that.

That's my two cents on the matter.
